I was sitting on the bus today and I started talking with my friends about Anwar’s case, and this being Malaysia, we went from politics to race and then to religion. I found out quite a bit about Islam andsome of the more interesting facts. What was even more delightful to discover was that there ARE people for whom religion is not a hot issue. It’s good to meet people who can converse about religion with other people and NOT get hot under the collar.

For my part, I enlightened my friends about the role of Mary and I learnt in return how Islam (at least the Sufi school) potrays itself. It’s nice to meet others who can talk rligion. Thank You God!
