Teh-O Spesial Delivery!

Ganked this from Teh-O jie jie (jie jie is elder sister in Chinese). We need books like these in the market, no matter how scary. Though I WOULD change some of the messages.

Things I would change, so I don’t spoil who haven’t seen the thread:

Never forget

Two updates today regarding Nurin:

If you haven’t heard, Nurin’s uncle, their family, and several other Netizens are currently in the process of setting up a Nurin Alert, so that no child, male or female, becomes another Nurin. I was supposed to blog about this yesterday but it slipped my mind in the midst of work.

The second update is one that’s cause for more joy. WE HAVE NEW LEADS ON THE POTENTIAL ABDUCTORS/SUSPECTS! The police have released enhanced CCTV footages that have connections to the case. If you know something about the case, please tell it to the cops! I hope they do their jobs, but I honestly cannot tell you just how happy I am that the case has NOT been forgotten.

On one hand, I hope they catch the asshole before he can touch another child. On the other, I can’t help wishing that he would die soon, because I’m sure that no matter how bloodthirsty we are, we can’t come close to Divine Punishment. I’m afraid though, that his punishment will be lesser in the afterlife if he’s caught, but at the same time, I’m worried for the safety of the children.

Gods hold the littles on their hands and keep them safe.

WATCH OUT FOR HIJACKERS

Got this in the email, share with you guys.

My boss almost kena carjacked yesterday. She sent out an email to the entire department telling her story – as a caution to all single women drivers. It sounds damn scary. Can not imagine what I’ll do if I was in her position. I’ve pasted her email here in its entirety. Girls, please be careful and be wary of your surroundings – bad things can happen DAY OR NIGHT – bad guys don’t
CARE anymore.

Here, her email:

Colleagues,

I was chased and attacked by a group of men in 2 cars trying to hijack my car in the afternoon yesterday. I was driving my husband’s car alone on my way back from mid valley at about 4.30pm and only noticed these 2 cars as I was turning left into jalan beringin, damansara heights. They came awfully close and fast which I thought strange as it was a residential area and full of road humps.

Then the first car (which was a E class Mercedes) came to my side and the passenger (had a policeman’s hat but not in uniform) had a walkie talkie and was gesturing for me to stop. When I
didn’t, he overtook and parked in front of me and the second car (which was the new 3 series BMW) was parked right behind me. the guy came up to my window and using his walkie talkie again, was frantically asking me to wind down – it was that split second that I realized that they weren’t undercover cops (yes sounds silly now when one is rational!) and I just reversed and drove off. Both cars were chasing me trying to swerve and corner me.

I was stopped 3 times by them – the second time was the road downhill between SC and the Science Centre and the same guy from the Merc came out – this time with a parang. I reversed as far as I could – these people were definitely professionals and didn’t want their cars damaged cos everytime I reversed, the bmw at the back also reversed.

I thought I’d be safe going onto a public road so I went on the sprint highway – they continued to chase and managed to stop me again– and I was on the fast lane of sprint highway (right between the SC and Bukit Kiara) and there were plenty of traffic – and this time – they parked so close to me – one in front and one at the back and the guy with the parang came out and this time was smashing with full force at my driver’s seat window.

Another guy came from the black bmw and started hitting on my passenger seat window – there were plenty of cars but no one stopped or honked despite seeing these 2 men smashing my car. I just reversed not caring if my car got knocked and trying to get some space so that I can drive out and finally managed to. I lost them when I turned onto jalan damansara highway.

It is absolutely traumatizing as I, like many, only read about this.. but the audacity and desperation for them to be doing this in broad daylight and at such a public place is unimaginable. I am so thankful that I am ok but I have to write this because i know many of us take it for granted that it would not happen to us.. but it has happened and it will happen again. Please please be careful – one can never be vigilant enough. You’ve read it all:

1. Ladies – don’t drive home alone at night – they will target women driving alone – day or night.

2. Don’t stop when you’re being chased

3. Know that they’re not the real cops when the proper police cars are not being used

I was given this no. by the inspector – 2274 4465 – it’s the Bilik Gerakan in Brickfields and if you think you’re being followed or chased – call this no. and they will send a mobile team who’s
nearest to where you are.

EDIT, message from Geminianeyes: If you’re living in the Subang/Sunway area, PLEASE watch out for this car: a brown/copperish Perdana WHH 5500. If you see it, REPORT IT. This is a personal message from me, I’ve had a friend whom I know personally being attacked by the crazies in this car. They were attempting to kidnap his friend as he was dropping her off but they managed to fight them off.

Don’t Forget

Remember these names. Else we forget, and another such tragedy happens again. (In no particular order)

1. Nurin Jazlin – 8
2. Audrey Melissa – 17
3. Ang May Hong – 9
4. Nurul Huda – 10
5. Harirawati Saridi – 9
6. Nushuhada Burak – 6

Those in bold have been left unsolved. And these are just tips of the iceberg.

Some burning required

Burning the National Flag?

This for context.

I would like to write a bit, but I don’t have the attention span for it. Considering the burning of the Jalur Gemilang (Stripes of Glory in English, aka the Malaysian National flag), at least people are paying attention to it. There are more people who disrespect the flag by making it into garments when it should be treated with decency. (Yes, Siti Nurhaliza and assorted “I’m-wearing-my-flag-see-how-patriotic-I-am!” whores, I’m looking at you. Even more so when you make your KIDS wear them) .

Blergh.

Boycott Tesco!

It’s one thing to eat turtles, even if they’re cultivated. It’s quite another to slaughter them like this.

Tesco butcher these turtles while they are still alive, with no pre stunning. The procedure used to butcher them is to cut the head off and then to crush it.

Until the head is correctly crushed, destroying the brain, the turtle can remain conscious throughout the procedure. If the head is not correctly crushed, the turtle’s severed head can continue to remain conscious for up to an hour before it dies.

These turtles are known to move their neck and head with lightning speed and can easily withdraw into their shell. This can make the butchering task very unpredictable and far from easy, only prolonging the pain and suffering of the turtle while it is being butchered ALIVE.

So what can you do? Sign the petition to stop the butchering here. You CAN make a difference.

Thanks [Pelfy] for the original post!

Have you seen her?

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usNormally I don’t do posts like these, but have you seen her? Please keep an eye out for her.

Nurin Jazlin has been missing for more than 9 days, and she suffers from kidney problems as well as high blood pressure.

Thank you.
