Music plays an important part of our lives. I for one, love to listen to music, although my preference differs from language to language. If you’ve read my previous posts, you’d know that I have a very low opinion of Malay music. However, I do like listening to locally-produced English songs. Maybe it’s because Bahasa (full should be Bahasa Malaysia but I’m too lazy to type… WAIT A MINUTE! I just that! Damn!) gave me so much trouble in high school. In any case, I prefer listening to English and Chinese/Japanese songs, though I’m generally prejudiced against the former.

Japanese songs on the other hand, are a different matter. I’m an anime fan, in case you haven’t noticed, and among my favourites are Scarlet- Ayashi! No Ceres, Alone- Gensomaden Saiyuki and Heart of Sword- Ruroni Kenshin/ Samurai X. The main thing all of them have in common for me is that they touch the heart quite deeply (though I have not a clue what the latter is saying ;p)

My current fave is Scarlet. It’s a heartaching song that just makes you want to weep. Yes, I know the words, but the tones sound so hopeful yet forlorn at the same time.

That’s it for today. I’m too lazy to write more. :p
