Belated Entry

When I heard that Kak Endon passed away, the first thing I wanted to do was to curse. Not because I was angry, but out of shock. I couldn’t believe that she was gone. Not one bit.

The Star’s page was loading so slowly that I found myself wishing that it was just a rumour, that it was not true. Googling Kak Endon on Google News dashed that hope and wish. I wanted to cry, but I couldn’t.

Kak Endon, though I never got to meet her personally, was a woman who touched many lives in an unassuming way. You don’t know what you have till it’s gone. With Kak Endon, that was exactly the case.

We all knew that she had breast cancer, but we thought that she was on the mend. Who knew that when she returned home on Tuesday that she was going home to die?

A lot of people have already written tributes to Kak Endon, so I won’t do so. I will say this.

Pak Lah, we’re behind you all the way.

  1. I was shocked too. I don’t know her too well but I hope Badawi ain’t too devastated. =(

BTW is this gonna be your official blog now? Coz if it is I shall bookmark this and dump the other one.

  2. I’ll say it again.

It was her fate to go to the heavens, to avoid the burning hell below. May God bless her soul.

But it’s damn annoying that open-minded people like her has to go while we have to contend with a narrow-minded majority. Guess I got my work cut out for me.
