I’m wondering if this will show up well on wordpress… especially since it’s a poem I wrote and then asked Google to translate into Japanese. And yes, the one below is from Babelfish. Iluna, Renren… are these Kanji, Hiragana? Cause they seem to be two different sets…

They seem to be a mishmash of writing styles. Kanji is basically Chinese script while Hiragana and Katakana are exclusively Japanese – one’s for Japanese words and one’s for non-Japanese words transliterated (e.g. Tiara).
That would explain the additional characters in Babelfish’s translations. Still… interesting, no?
