Yes, this is another political rant, and I sincerely apologise for subjecting you all to this, but I want to get this out of my head before I say something worse in real life and get arrested under the ISA for speaking my mind. (Sukina: I think you might get away with the talking in real life thing, just saying. *grins*)

That said, blogger Jeff Ooi is facing off against Penang’s Chief Minister Koh Tsu Koon in Jelutong. According to one of his newer posts on his blog, Rocky has predicted that Jeff will win. I don’t think so. In fact, if he did, it would be considered a giant-killer feat. Koh Tsu Koon looks very likely to retain his seat. Whether that will be by a comfortable margin or not is irrelevant. I was actually amused when I read who Jeff Ooi would be pitted against, and the acquaintance I mentioned this to came back with an immediate reply that put the whole thing into perspective.

“He’s going to lose his deposit.” Among other things mentioned, it was also seen as sending Jeff to be “slaughtered.”

Still, I do wish him all the best. I do not live in Jelutong unfortunately, but I do live in another area where DAP will be campaigning and you know what?

I’m hoping they’ll win and beat the odds to form the next government. Hey, a girl can dream, can’t she?
