It really does. Yesterday, this came to light. Considering the about turn, and her choice of words in the about turn, [Nick] suspects criminal intimidation, and I suspect the same.
There’s no evidence of this, but I doubt that a woman who was “sensitive and moody” would have lodged a report THE DAY AFTER the incident instead of the same night. Furthermore, she knew the man was a former Cabinet minister and a current MP. Anyone would have thought twice about it before lodging a report. Lodging a report against an MP for sexual harrassment isn’t done every day, and it takes a helluva amount of courage here to even contemplate doing so.
“I cannot remember exactly the conversation between me and the VIP although in my statement to the police I may have said something else.
“I am afraid I may have misinterpreted or misheard (him). The VIP concerned is known to always joke like that and it is normal for him to be like that,” she said, and apologised for lodging the report.
I don’t know… isn’t your body your own? And if he makes you feel uncomfortable at ANY time, you should let him know, right? Or if it’s THAT uncomfortable, lodge a report?
