Sick, Part 3

Feeling better now, though it was horrible when I first woke up. Here’s the funny thing that happened when I went to the doctor’s.

The doctor said that I should have a Libran for a boyfriend, because I’m a Geminian. *Laughs* Guess what dear Leo is? *Huggles and squishes her Leo*

Dreams. Now this one is a bit more serious. It’s the first time in years that I’ve woken up from a dream that felt like it WAS reality. It’s the first time I’ve not been able to distinguish between dream and reality.

I dreamt that I went to sleep, and I woke up to find that I had died and gone to heaven. I was reunited with my sister, and we spent a day in heaven. I met people I thought had long gone, only to discover a few discrepancies later on.

For one, she never laughed at my jokes. For another, there was one young girl I remember passing away when I was in Form 2. She was in Form 1. If no one else, I would have expected her to be there with me in heaven, but she wasn’t. I also felt a little sad at the people I had left behind… I missed my baby, I missed my mom, I missed my family. The sadness was in leaving all the people behind when I had so much to do for them.

Why was heaven a large warehousy/LUCT kind of place?

The last thing I remembered was closing my eyes to the girl’s smile, and then I woke up. It was day. It was also very unnerving.

Especially when you consider that I have never HAD a sister.

Sick, pt2

Yesterday, I had a rather bad cough in the morning, but decided to go out anyway. I had an appointment with Vivian that I did NOT want to miss. I wasn’t sure whether to go and give it a miss, and decided not to. I hadn’t seen Vivian for over 6 months, and I needed new shoes for work, so I thought nothing of the cough and went out with her.

Big mistake.

I went to my grandmother’s house first, where my godfather was around, and then he gave me a present from Canada. It was earrings!! They were a beautiful pair of amethyst drop earrings, and it just so happened that I was looking for a pair of drop blue earrings, mainly because the ones I had were a bit too small for my taste, and I didn’t really want something too big like the set I got from the Curve. Plus, they came with this really cool stoppers. Anyone who’s worn drop earrings will tell you that they don’t usually come with stoppers (making people like me afraid the earrings will drop off, though that isn’t really possible).

After that, I went to see my mom at her office to give her a cheque and some money for yesterday’s shopping. Then I went off to pick Viv up. I didn’t know she’d get harrased by those louts, because if I had I would have offered to pick her up from somewhere nearer. In any case, we got to MV with no problems, but one presented itself immediately.

In the end we parked on the fifth floor, and ende up taking the lift down. It was rather nice to see her again, and after about 10-15 minutes of walking and stomach rumbling, we finally decided to eat at Sushi King’s. It was not bad, and I really enjoyed my soup. Then again, it could be that my body was looking for ways to heat itself up (I generally LOVE eating hot things when my body’s not well). Once we had eaten and chatted, we decided to go shopping!

Somehow or another, we found ourselves in Jaya Jusco, and there, we split up for a moment. I went to Niko Niko Doh to check out some soundtracks, while Viv saw some jewellery and decided to look at them. (What is it with girls and shineys? Even I’m not invulnerable to them!) I found some DNAngel ones going for about RM20 (which is CHEAP IMHO) but I wasn’t too sure which ones to get. Maybe I’ll drag Leo there one day and have him help me choose. ^_^

After that, we went down to the ground floor where all the shoes were. It took me just a little over ten minutes, I believe, to find a perfect pair of buckskin-lookalike shoes. At least that’s what they reminded me of. I bought them, then went to change from my slippers to those new FLATS. Boy were my feet singing happily. It’s been a long time since I DID not wear heels or flats that were too small. I found Viv shopping for lingerie (JJ has got a fantastic deal on ligerie now!) and waited and helped her choose some while waiting. Once that was done, we went off to MPH for a bit (Viv went to the loo) and then hit the arcade, mainly to play Para Para.

After two months of not playing, my skills have gone down. *Sniffs*

We decided to head back then, but not before going to get a drink. While we were going to the Jaya Jusco supermarket, we saw the new ice-creams from Macdonald’s. Vivian had the raspberry one, and I had the caramel (I think it was caramel). OMG. Pure heaven.

On the way home, I was feeling decidedly woozy, but I was still good enough to drive. Dropped Vivian home, went to pick up Leo, and got a heart attack on the way. Mom wanted me to pick her up AT 6.45 PM. Leo finished at 6.30. See my dilemma? I picked Leo up, told him, but in the end, I sent him home instead of letting him meet my mom. (You ARE going to meet her sooner or later, darling)

Picked mom up and asked her to send me to the doctor’s. Verdict: Temperature at 102. O_O So got MC for the day and rested. And now I sleep. Nite.

Is this liveblogging? I wonder…

Today was a full day. Basically it was divided into three arts: Med check up, Times Bookstore Raid Sale and finally, picking Dusty/Leo up. ^_^

Part One: The Medical Check Up

So I woke up early, took the LRT and reached the Twin Towers Medical Centre (TTMC) at about five minutes to nine. They asked me to fill out a few forms, and then I waited for a bit.

The first test was an X-Ray test. I was asked to remove anything metallic that I was wearing, strip and put on a grey robe. The first few times I tried to tie it, it kept opening, so I left the bra on. (It was only the top guys… -_-”) Then the nurse told me I had to remove that too, so off it went. This was done, and so I stood in front of this white box and more or less hugged the machine (as instructed). Two seconds later, after I see a bright orange light behind me, she tells me that it’s over. My reaction: o_O

I then proceed to the next part of the test.

This was followed by a few more minutes of waiting, and then my height and weight were taken. This was then followed by a very interesting eyetest. I had to do it twice, cause for my right eye.. it was unusually blurry. In fact, I saw through my left eye clearer, which is very odd considering that it’s my left eye that’s the Lazy Eye.

After that, it was breakfast. The nurse told us to drink plenty of water and to go and have breakfast for the next part of the tests, which was the consultation and urine test. At that, I was again surprised. I didn’t realise that I had to take a urine test. So off I went to breakfast, wondering what to eat.

In the end, I settled on soft drinks (refillable) at Burger King with two Dunkin Donuts. The doughnuts were Mocha Frost (seriously sugar-filled) and Green Apple (a little sourish, but pleasant). So for those who’ve interacted with me in real time (doesn’t matter whether it’s face to face or just talking online) yuo know what that means.

So at about five minutes to ten, I went off again to TTMC, and this time I didn’t know how to broach the subject of urine till the nurse told us at about 10.20 am to do it if we were ready, so me and another girl did so…

And the nurse tells us: “Don’t take the beginning part of the urine… Just the middle.” Eeep.

Note: I forgot urine is a way of expelling heat from the body.

Then we went into the consultation. In it, I explained the various ailmetns that my family members had, and so the doctor noted that my family had a strong history of cardiovascular disease. She checked my blood pressure and noted that for a girl my size, I was actually a little low. It was time for the body test.

I was told to go topless, and then the doctor put on a blanket on my chest while she prodded my stomach. I forgot to ask her why. After ascertaining that I had nothing wrong, she then proceeded to check my breasts, mainly because I had told her that my mom’s side had a history of breast cancer. She pointed out that as I was still young, my breasts were firm, and the breast tissues moved easily. She showed mehow to do a BSE (Breast Self-Examination) and pointed out that if you feel a lump and it moves, and it feels like a small chain, it’s your tissues. IF, HOWEVER, the lump is big and fixed, go and check it. It may be a growth.

After that, I was told that I could leave, and so I did.

I went to Kino, and discovered…

Yami No Matsuei (Descendents of Darkness).

I want to read more.

And will post the rest tomorrow. Am tired, and now it’s time to sleep. Nite-nite!
