[3 Things] Tuesday Tweaks

Shaky car
Turns out that my spark plugs were gone. Damage was rm30, and bah kut the for lunch. Not too bad.

Blurness
Went into work today and started ticking things off my task list. Then by afternoon, things got hectic again. I’m not too comfortable with the smooth sea thing.

Romance
Mom asked if I had a boyfriend or if I was seeing anyone. She also asked about an old collegemate I hung out with recently. Told her I wasn’t interested in him; he was not my type. Too many questions about whether I’m attached recently sigh. And mom’s under the impression that there were probably a lot of guys interested in me, but nah. I don’t think so.

[3 things] Weekend edition

Aka there was actually a lack of things happening over the weekend. 😛 Here’s what went down:

Friday:
Everyone’s already in the holiday mood, cause it’s a long weekend. I finished my tasks much faster than expected, but there’s still a pile of things that needs to be settled tomorrow aka Tuesday. It was mainly a day for running around, though truth to be told, I really enjoyed the down time. At least more stuff got done today.

Saturday:
There is only one way to describe this day: SLEEP IN. Which was basically what I did almost the entire day. Oh, and I forgot that I had discovered a lovely game called Battle Cats. This game is addictive and easy to play. Did I mention it was addictive? I like that the creator didn’t take himself too seriously.

Sunday:
Today was the day I discovered my car had a problem. Basically my engine oil had run out, so I tried to top it off. Car still shook. So I thought I would take it into the mechanic’s on Tuesday, because Monday’s a holiday (replacement for Thaipusam).

Monday:
Watched The Last Stand starring Arnold with Phil and Sam. It was… fun. Then I horrified Sam with stories of Prince of the City, Killer Clown and Strawberry Cinta… and spared his mind with Despicable Me 2 TV spots. As it turned out, Sam had watched the trailer to Strawberry Cinta and cringed even more than I did. The look on his face was priceless. XD

… And then I found out I should have called the mechanic because there was a good chance that he’d be opened today. Mechanics need not necessarily follow all the public holidays. *facepalms at self*

On a good note though, I actually finished editing chapter 1 of my novel. Now comes another 30++ chapters. Orz.

With that, good night!

[3 Things] Sunday Laziness/Monday Twerpness

Huh, now that was a really lazy Sunday. I did, however, managed to get some exercise in, so without further ado:

  • Zombies, Run!
The fun thing about this app is that it really does simulate you being chased by Zombies. I’ve just done mission and I’m already in love with the story. That said, I did find a discrepancy; my distance is reported to be 7km when the treadmill notes only 2km. I suspect this was because the way I held myself. No matter, I’ll use either Endomondo Pro tomorrow or rely on the treadmill numbers again when I log it in.
  • My body really heats up!
Yeah, silly thing to note, but basically I need at least some form of isotonic drink + 6 hours sleep to recover, or at least say good bye to that heat migraine.
  • Measurements
The funny thing I realised was that my body weight does tend to go up, even if my measurements go down, which most people say is a sign of progress. The part that isn’t a sign? When I realise a lot of my weight goes instead to my thighs. Oi!

And with that out of the way, here are some quick Monday Twerps:

  1. Horrible Project Exec
Honestly, I really need to strengthen my follow up skills. I know I can do better, but I’ve kinda been slacking off. ~.~ but I do have to admit, managing projects is not what I really want to do. The fun question is, what DO I want to do? *facepalms at self*
  2. New Chicken Rice place opened
But because this area has a shortage of pork places, it was completely packed by the time my colleagues and I wanted to eat there. In the end, we went back to the sorta-halal Chinese place in the same office complex. I’d forgotten that this place serves a huge portion of rice, and JPY ended up giving me her portion. On a side note…
  3. I really, really want to watch Boku No Pico now
I have a feeling I’ll regret it, but I really do want to know what all the fuss is about. At this point I think it’s really hard to shock me, but to facepalm and take tea, yeah, probably.

With that, good night everyone!
