Should you get it? Yes, if you need a speaker upgrade and either a new keyboard or gaming mouse.

The Logitech G Series is Logitech’s gear for gamer range with the prices to match. They recently released the G560 in Malaysia, and I think to celebrate they introduced a Logitech G Lightsync Bundle that included the speakers, keyboard and gaming mouse. Originally the promo was due to end 31 May 2018; right now it’s a “while stocks last” promo in most of the places I went in.

So what do you get for RM1388 and why am I writing about it?

Well, first is the G560. It’s a speaker that marks Logitech’s foray into RGB speakers. I won’t go into details about the speaker’s features – you can check them out here or video here, but I will say the bundle’s a damn good deal for the speakers.

The speakers themselves work as advertised and are really nice to look at and listen to. They’re really loud and if you have the Lightsync sampler set up, they match whatever’s on your screen, including your Youtube videos. But what about the price, you ask?

The RRP for the G560 is RM999. Online and in-store, it retails closer to RM880, depending on who you’re buying from.

Now, if you were in the market for a mechanical keyboard, then yes, I think the G512 serves very nicely. It is much smaller than both my CM Storm (I have a Quickfire Pro and a Trigger) and the Tactile version of the keyboard is certainly much nicer than I anticipated.

This is one of those few keyboards where I can really type without looking at the keys too closely – I have tiny hands, and I think this is why it’s so comfortable for me.

RRP for the G512 is RM579. Online and in-store, it’s about RM455, again depending on the seller.

The Logitech G502 is a gaming mouse. It has a shitload of buttons which has made my keyboard fairly redundant when simply browsing. I did have a G102, which is a great starting mouse if you want to spoil yourself.

My biggest complaint about it is that it doesn’t have enough buttons (yes, I know, first world problems). The G502 comes with enough buttons that I have a few spare ones but at the cost of it being too big for my hands. I can’t reach the forward upper button, aka G8 easily with my thumb or finger. Small hand issues.

RRP is RM369. Online it’s anywhere from RM280 to RM310. Let’s go with RM280.

So by that, the simple maths is RM880 + RM455 + RM280 = RM1615. This is quite expensive compared to the bundle price. If you’re in the market for speakers and some additional peripherals, then I highly recommend the Lightsync G Bundle before it disappears.

Final note: Bear in mind that there are cheaper sellers available online (affiliate link), but the prices usually do not include shipping. The speakers are crazy heavy, and I’ve seen fees from as low as RM14.50.
